The Last Class of CM

Today's contents of add-on presentation were also useful. I once used Research Words, but I gave up using the add-on because I did not know how to use it effectively. However, I knew useful points of Research Words through the presentation, so I would like to use the add-on again.

We look Google Sites each other today. I was astonished at the sites of other groups because these are really great. Some of these are easy to use, have interesting and sufficient contents and good appearance. I thought our site need improvements, but I really enjoyed watching other sites.

Group Work on Google Site

Today's presentations about add-on were also very good. Especially, the last presenter who explained about Grease Monkey and Download Books seemed to know very well about computer. I was surprised at his knowledge and cleverness.

Group work to create Google site is little hard for us. Using Google site is not as easy and convenient as using Blogger or other functions in Google. I would like to learn more how to use Google site effectively.

How to insert videos and images

All presenters and contents of add-on presentation are really good today! And I was surprised Robert likes Colorful Tabs. I like Persona which is an add-on related to appearance of Firefox window, and I think appearance is important, I agree with Yuri Suzudo.

In group discussion, Sayuka taught me how to insert videos to Google site. Website of Sayuka's group seemed very good so far. I am looking forward her group presentation, and I thought our group should work hard.

I learned about Picasa first time in last class. I should practice using Picasa to become familiar with this useful tool.

Google group and site

Today's presentation about add-on was really great. I immediately installed "tree style tab" after the presentation. Moreover, the latter presenter was brilliant not only at contents but his knowledge of computer and skill of presentation.

After the presentation, we create Google group and Google site for group presentation. I did not know how to use Google site, therefore today's class was very useful for me. By the way, our group changed topic, and our new topic is medical progress. I would like to research especially about nanotechnology, and I also want to introduce what I heard in ARW class's P&D.

Preparation to create a group web site

I introduced an add-on called "search preview" in today's class. It is not so outstanding add-on, but once I start to use search preview, I became to feel uncomfortable without it. I think an appearance of a web page gives us informations about sorts and tone of the web site. Therefore, we can know whether that web page is blog or article, and has any picture or not even through a small preview. And, we can also feel whether that web site is serious or for fun.
Add-ons that other classmates presented seemed useful. I already using wiered-marker, and I was good to know about autopager. I am looking forward to next presentation of add-ons.

Our group decided presentation topic that is AI and robots. I have few knowledge about science and technology now, so I should read KurzweilAI.net and other web pages. Moreover, I want to make good use of my gained knowledge for my winter project, too.

Firefox Portable and Zotero

The second CM class was about Firefox Portable and Zotero.

I was really surprised and bothered because Zotero that was installed on my Firefox Portable became not to be able to use in the class.
However, the problem was solved when I used another computer after the class.

One weak point of Firefox is it often come to running trouble. Firefox portable usually run slow, and often fail to read web page.

Zotero and other addons are very useful. Therefore, I hope Firefox develops and becomes more convenient.

The First CM class of Winter

We reviewed what we learned in the fall term.
And, learned more deeply about Zotero. I think Zotero is extremely useful for us, so I want to be an expert to use Zotero through more practices.
I want to lern how to synchronize Zotero's bookmarks between online one and portable one in the next class.
